Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Boundary, we’re taking steps every year to make our festival more sustainable. We know there’s more work to do, but we’re committed to reducing our impact on the environment while still delivering the best experience for everyone on site. Here’s what we’re doing this year:

Food & Drink

- All traders are no beef, removing the meat option with the highest carbon footprint.

- Every trader offers a vegan option, with two fully vegan traders on site.

- Discounts available on hot drinks when you bring your own reusable cup.

- We’re running a reusable cup scheme across the festival to cut down on single-use plastic.

- Water and soft drinks are sold in cans, and no plastic bags are used at retail stalls.

Energy & Operations

- All plant and generators run on HVO fuel (a renewable diesel alternative).

- New signage is printed on recyclable Foamex, with no event years included to allow for reuse.

Digital First

- Staff, artist and trader information packs are now digital to reduce printing.

- Our staff handbook includes sustainability info to keep our team aligned.

We’re constantly developing our sustainability plan, and we’ll keep expanding these measures each year. Thanks for supporting us on this journey.
